Why we built a compliance command centre instead of another ledger

I've watched Irish business owners get hit with €3-a-day CRO penalties not because they were careless, but because nobody was watching the calendar. The accountant assumed the owner knew the date. The owner assumed the accountant had it. The register doesn't care who assumed what. That gap is why BizÉire exists.

What we decided NOT to build

Another ledger. Ireland has bookkeeping tools — good ones, and stitched-together stacks of them. What the market didn't have was a compliance command centre: the deadlines, the exposure in plain euro, the register watched nightly, the documents generated, the data owned by the person who typed it.

So we skipped the ledger fight entirely. Keep your books wherever they are — export a CSV, bring them in, and the compliance layer starts working the same day.

The rule that shaped everything: nobody files as you but you

Every document we generate, every draft we compute, every deadline we track — you submit it. We're tooling and guidance, not an agent, not a firm, not advice. That's not a limitation; it's the product. You stay in control of what's filed under your name, and your accountant stays in the loop with a clean view instead of a shoebox.

Where it's going

The calendar is live. The books can come in. The AI layer is being built to answer questions from YOUR data with citations — never to invent a date or give advice. UK support is on the roadmap. And the Forecast — the publication you're reading — will call every cliff before it arrives.
